Halloween 2013

Being an Aussie I sometimes turn heads when people hear me say
  I love Halloween
As most are aware this is in no way an Australia tradition but I seek out any chance to be creative and most importantly connect with people in my community.
I am very lucky as the children in my neighborhood come out in the masses to celebrate this tradition. Laughs are had, friendships formed and people who you can't see often stop for a chat.

Here is a little project I made for Halloween 2013

Heidi Swapp Challenge

I am super  lucky to be attending Heidi Swapp's class in November.
The amazingly talented Kim Jeffress will be teaching with Heidi  so it's a double bonus for me
as both designers inspire me to create.

For the scrappers attending her workshops Kim posted a challenge.
To create something inspired by her recent layout. Here it is..

Here is what it inspired me to create..

Watermelon - I even love the word..

I thought I would play along with the White With One challenge this month.
I really couldn't resist when the challenge colour is Watermelon. I even love the word. lol

Here  is my take...

I loved playing around with a gel medium and mixing in some colour shine.

I also had a play with some doodling to add some extra detail. Note: This can be a little freaky!!!

I have to admit I am not a big into journalling but believe a little is important.
I love my mothers handwriting and I want my children to remember mine also.

Some more free hand journalling. I was getting into it...

Loving the use of cotton at the moment. That extra little touch.

Hope you enjoyed my WW1 challenge.
