I love this photo of Daniel and I. We were having so much fun. This photo was take in front of the huge ferris wheel in Brissy. I remember being on it telling Daniel how much fun I was having, this is when he decides to tell me he is frightened of heights. Things our men will do to win our hearts. He sure won mine.

This layout and the one I am about to post used supplies out of the goodie bag I won at the Kim Archer online class. I loved my little bag of mixed media and I love the layouts I have created with it.

I was so excited to recieve an email for Kim Archer to say that I had won a lucky door prize. I recently participated in her online class and had a great time. This was my first 'cyber' event and I am so looking forward to the next one.

Thanks Kim for the class and that great little prize. I am heading into my craft room tonight to see what I can do.

And here it is....

I had so much fun creating this layout. Sticking everything down the stitching idea came to me. I wish that idea never comes again...lol It didnt stop there the beading idea was hot on the trail. Hours later I emerged with a layout that I love.

I was pretty slack using the buttons or should I say 'button', but I had to use that yummy crate paper range.

I received a lovely parcel from my beautiful sister Ainslee today. Inside I found a number of goodies, a beautiful card, beautiful photo of us and a little pack of buttons. In the card she set the challenge to use these on a project as she had purchased some for herself. I am now going to add to that challenge...... we have to also use the beautiful photo of us in the project too. Lets see how we go.

Well she loved it. I was so nervous about participating in this as I have never done anything like this before. Next time I think I will stick with paper instead of fabric it will ease the nerves... lol

Kim Archer Live Class

I just participated in the Kim Archer @ Home live online class and what fun it was. I completed my first layout of my little girl and it has me inspired to keep on going. This weekend I found myself to be super crafty. I also have been fortunate to be involved in a craft swap. This is my first and I really hope they enjoy the goodies I have made them. I will post a pic after they have received them. For now here is what I created with Kim and her team of talented girls....

Well it is time Lauren got back in the game.....

Since my last post I have been the happiest I have ever been and the sadest I have ever been. Through all those ups and downs I am excited to announce that one of the biggest blessings in my life has come along. My beautiful daughter Katie was born in November and I now feel like the luckiest woman alive. Two beautiful children and one special man to make my heart come alive.

With that journey my creativity was put aside. So this blog is going to challenge my creativity and see if I can get it back.

I am going to start slow. One creative project a week...

Monday tomorrow lets see how I go...

Christmas Cards seem to massive task for creative people. The ideas come and some years we can manage to ignore the creative desire and other years not.... hence you see 40 christmas cards finally made and only 4 sleeps until Santa comes.
